Casting and forging are two common metalworking techniques, and they are both important methods for manufacturing parts. This article will explain in detail the techniques of casting and forging parts.

First introduce casting. Casting is a process in which molten metal is poured into a casting mold to be cooled and solidified to obtain parts of the desired shape. Casting can be divided into pressure casting, sand casting, precision casting and other types, different types are suitable for different parts.

The first is pressure casting. Pressure casting is suitable for producing beautiful looking parts with accurate dimensions. The process is as follows: First, the metal is heated to its melting point, while the mold is prepared. Then, the molten metal is injected into the mold under pressure on the pressure casting machine, and the parts can be removed after cooling and solidification. In the pressure casting process, it is necessary to pay attention to controlling the heating temperature and injection speed of the metal to ensure the quality of the parts. In addition, it is also necessary to pay attention to the design and selection of the mold to avoid defects.

The second is sand casting. Sand casting is suitable for manufacturing large parts with complex cavities. Its process flow is as follows: First, the mold is made according to the shape and size of the part, and then the mortar is filled into the mold, and the mold is taken out after the mortar solidifies. Next, the mold is treated so that molten metal can be poured into it. Then the metal is melted to a certain temperature, poured into the mold, to be cooled and solidified, take out the parts. In the sand casting process, it is necessary to pay attention to the selection of appropriate mortar and the method of treating the mold to obtain the ideal part shape and surface quality.
